ibis Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof

Great value for a hotel conveniently located near the Hbf. While Ibis rooms have a unique layout that takes some getting used to, this has been my go to hotel in Karlsruhe for easy travel via rail. The Hbf is very close, and local transit is just across from the front entrance. In spite of the location do close to these railway travel options, it is very quiet.

We have stayed before at the Ibis - it is the location which is great as we can catch a tram to our daughter's flat from outside the front door! And we can get to the station so easily from where we have taken many trips thanks to the local ticket offer. We did not need to use any restaurant facilities at the hotel.

Room was confortable and functional. Location was perfect, just hop off the train and you are at the hotel. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel. Staff super friendly. Lounge area with bar was an added bonus. I was worried about the noise when I saw that my room overlooked the train platforms but it's actually less noisy that road traffic. It must be well insulated.

Very close to the train station, great place to end up in the late evening. My room had the option to open the windows. I enjoy a fresh breeze!

Very nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of choice for all tastes for breakfast, hotel is ideally situated for access to the train, literally a 2 minute walk.
